Not at this time. We don’t currently have public roadmaps for features and launches. :slightly_smiling_face:

Have there been any updates on this? It looks like it was actively being worked on in March 2022 and still nothing in the API documentation that I can see. This would be a small effort that could make a big impact.

jeeze this is disheartening

I too have been waiting for an ability to create orders via Orders API with dine-in options, simply similar to what Square POS and Square for Restaurant can do, so that it shows up on the KDS and tickets just like the POS orders would. 2.5 years later I am still waiting…

Hi all, we totally understand that this is a really important feature request. There are many factors that are internal to Square as to why we haven’t been able to deliver on this very popular feature request. One being our Orders migration that’s been mentioned in over the past few quarters in our earnings calls. This work is pivotal to enabling this feature in the future. Hi Bryan – I am actively working with Square POS to extract the Dining options out of the Order’s API. I can see some app orders show up in the Fulfillment field; however, the in store orders do not show any sort of For Here or To Go options.

Square is one of the only restaurant POS systems that seem to not be able to include this in their Orders API. Is there any sort of timeline on this getting worked on and usable? If not, is there any sort of workaround to getting something to show up in the backend? Unsure why this field is said to show up in the Square daily reports, but can’t seem to work its way into the API, but I trust that if this is something the development team is working on it will eventually make it’s way into the Developer API.

Any updates on this? Your Item Sales report allows filtering by Dining Option…couldn’t you just expose the same filter in the SearchOrders endpoint? This would be extremely helpful to be able to understand what orders were tied to which dining option in the data.
