Create Open Ticket from Scanning Driver's License

Hello! We host events at our bar and are looking for a way to speed up the process of creating open tickets for our guests - as this has been identified as one of the show bottlenecks. We would like to be able to scan the barcode on the back of a person’s driver’s license with the UPC code reader that we bought as it works with the SPOS. Once the driver’s license is scanned - we would like an open ticket to be created using the person’s first and last name info contained in the barcode. Ideally, we would like to see ultimately, something like this: used where the staff that are checking people in, are scanning the licenses looking for under age, multi-usage, drinking age, etc - which then would send the guest name to the POS and we would just need to add in the drinks of food they want from the servers.

Is something like this doable?

We would love to see this also integrated with Square Appointments - where people bok ahead for tables, then they are scanned - and this creates the open ticket in the system and further informs the bar or kitchen of any food or drinks pre-ordered via the table booking.
