We’d like to migrate from Stripe to Square, but need to be able to charge a bank on file using the Invoice API. We charge variable amounts each month and have automated our system using the API. We don’t want our users to have to manually initiate payment every month.

Is there some way to do this using Square, or are we out of luck? Thank you!

At this time the ability to charge a bank on file with the Invoices API isn’t currently available. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team. 🙂

You probably realize this, but in case you don’t, you can save a customer credit card and charge that. Not exactly the same as charging an account directly, of course.
