Hi Square Support,

We are performing a live test of our FS platform using one creator Square account connected through Square OAuth.

We completed a live payment and the Square Payments API confirms that an application fee was created and allocated to our FS developer location.

Payment details:

Payment ID:
JqtJUN55sTNQmWHXmO2PHKL8FHOZY

Creator/seller Square location:
LTD6VKMRCZB0P

FS developer location:
LMG1YB64T22B3
F–S---- (Main)

The API response shows:

app\_fee\_money:
$0.20 USD

app\_fee\_allocations:
$0.20 USD allocated to location LMG1YB64T22B3

Square processing fee:
$0.34 USD

The creator side of the live test processed successfully, and the API clearly shows the $0.20 application fee allocated to our FS location.

However, when we log into the FS Square account and go to:

Banking → Balance → FS

we see:

Total balance: $0.00
FS balance: $0.00

We do not see the $0.20 application fee anywhere in the FS banking balance or activity.

Could you please trace the $0.20 application fee for payment JqtJUN55sTNQmWHXmO2PHKL8FHOZY and confirm:

1. Where the $0.20 application fee was credited.

2. Why the API shows it allocated to FS location LMG1YB64T22B3 while the FS balance remains $0.00.

3. Where this application-fee revenue should appear in the Square Dashboard.

4. Whether any additional live-account or banking configuration is required for the application fee to become visible and available in the FS balance.

This is a live production test using one connected creator Square account.

Thank you.

Thanks for the details. The $0.20 application fee was credited to the location `LMG1YB64T22B3` as application fee revenue after you had posted - it just takes a few hours before it is credited to the developer’s account!

Application fee revenue isn’t credited at the moment of the payment. It posts after the connected seller’s payment settles into their batch, so there’s normally a delay of several hours to a day.

Application fee revenue lands in your Square payments balance and, because your account is set to automatic transfers to a linked bank account, it’s swept out to that bank account. It won’t appear in Banking → Balance, which reflects your Square Checking/Savings balance only. Look instead at Balance → Transfers / Transfer reports, or the Payments API, where it appears as application fee revenue tied to the originating payment.
